How do you market your art?

Howdy and Welcome to my blog

Today I would like to talk about "How do you market your art?"

A lot of friends and Facebook friends have ask me over the years this same question.

And all I can tell you is you have to market your self by getting your name out in the public. Some of the ways are handing out business cards,  jury shows, art show, social media, contest, place your art info on your emails, create a newsletter, blogs a lot and so on.
You need to find what works for your type of Art/crafts.

Here is a artist Elizabeth St Hilaire Nelson that I have been following since 2011. She has been a inspiration to me with my work in acrylic painting.

Since I started following her I have learn a lot about art, the art world and what it takes to teach a art class in your medium.

Here are some of her work and a old blog and a interview of Elizabeth St Hilaire Nelson too on YouTube.

When you watch the YouTube videos listen closely to what she has to say about marking and by all means I am NOT tell anyone to quit their jobs. That has work well for her but it might not be something you need to do at this point in your life.

Plus I have one more blog for y'all. I posted this on back in June 2011 call "Marketing Checklist for Artist."

Hope this helps everyone on their road to pursuing their dreams in the art world.

Until next time, Happy Creating and God Bless
